As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science from a recognized and approved program namely, an STCW recognized qualification Preferably as a Master Mariner Class 1 or Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science or Bachelor of Science in Technical/Trade and Meeting Transport General Authority TGA “Qualification Requirements” Train the Trainer Certification.
You will have 10 years Industry and, or professional experience relevant to the position including at least 3 years in Marie Training.

Requirements

We are looking for Professionals  
As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering from a recognized and approved program namely, an STCW recognized qualification Preferably as a MEO Class 1 Officer or in Marine Engineering Technical/Trade and Meeting Transport General Authority TGA “Qualification Requirements” Train the Trainer Certification. (Vertical Integrated Course for trainer is preferred)

You will have 10 years Industry and, or professional experience relevant to the position including at least 3 years in Marie Training

  •  Must be a MEO Class 1 officer    
  •  Has acquired DG Certification for Teaching - TOTA. (VICT is preferred)  
  • Has thorough knowledge and hands-on experience on the following:
  • (a) marine engine; 
  • (b) maintenance and operations; 
  • (c) vessel operations and inspection;
  • (d) quality assurance;
  • (e) man management and
  • (f) other related core marine functions.  
  •  Has excellent time management, leadership skills, problem solving and interpersonal skills.  
  •  Has excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  •  Proficient in MS Office Applications.

Responsibilities

  Your Key Responsibilities  
 
  •  Prepare and deliver lectures and practical trainings to students or cadets of Bachelor of Technology (Marine Engineering), Graduate in Marine Engineering and Diploma in Nautical Science.  
  •  Conduct post-sea courses related to subject expertise.  
  • Supervise technical operations and administration of various departments such as (1) Ship-in-campus (SIC) and (2) Marine workshop.  
  •  Manage routine maintenance of equipment and machineries (Commissioning, repairing and testing).   
  • Responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment and machineries (Defect analysis, trouble shooting and quality control checks).   
  •  Coordinate with purchase department for requirements of various equipment and machineries.   
  •  Keep abreast of developments related to subject expertise through research and professional trainings/seminar/conferences.  
  •  Manage inter-department relations and maintain team morale and motivation for better engagement and result. 
 
  •  Participate in administration and management review programme. 
 
  •  Assist Research and Development department as and when required.
